Welcome to the IDEAS Quest Community

This is a community created by kids for kids. IDEAS Quest empowers kids to engage in science discovery and exploration through projects around the world and the internet. You can join our explorations online and participate with our kid scientists worldwide to explore the world around us. Most of the explorations are created by High School students and are funded by the IDEAS Quest foundation. The kids participating in our projects are primarily elementary age. Select a "mission" that interests you and join us! We are inspired by the notion that each one of us can use his or her imagination to engage in a process of discovery! Many of our projects relate to environmental science and provide you with a way to make a difference with your actions while discovering more about our planet and ourselves!

FAQ: What exactly do kids have to do to join an IDEAS Quest mission?

Joining a mission is free and easy. Simply click on the links to the
mission that interest you. You do not have to register and it is
completely free. Once you click on the mission link, you will be taken
to the page for that mission. Start by reading what is offered and
what is going on. The BLOG section will give you the mission pulse,
and it is the main feed for all the kids participating. You can join a
discussion or follow along. Each blog entry will document another step
in the discovery. Most entries involve some kind of activity for you
to get involved. Do get involved and post back the results for all to
share. Remember there is no right or wrong answer, rather every
observation and experiment that you make could hold the answers for
the whole group. So join in, do not be afraid to ask questions and
work with us!
